Chesterfield Dog Training Club Puppy Class provides obedience training for your dogs at all levels.

We run a 9 week training course (block booked) for puppies up to 12 months old. The aim of the course is to teach owners how to train their puppies to be happy, well behaved and balanced sociable dogs.

The course covers the following main points:

Walking on a lead without pulling
Sit
Down (lie)
Stand
Temperament (desensitise allowing examination of key areas e.g. eyes, ears, nose, teeth, paws etc. Vets will love you forever!)
Recall (come back when called)
Leave
Watch me (attention on handler when potential distractions are around)

All done by praise and positive reward based learning; dogs that is, not owners!!

Certificate of completion awarded at the end of the programme.
